good to know

Tell me about your pricing?
Pricing for Adam and Melissa starts at $3,300, and for Riley $4,000. Let’s chat to discuss options and put together coverage that best suits your festivities.
Tell me more about tintypes
Tintypes date back to the Civil War era and involve exposing an image directly onto a metal plate. These days they’re pretty rare – I’m one of only a few people in the country who make them – but they’re absolutely stunning, and each one is unique. They’re also the perfect way to commemorate a major milestone, so I include a tintype portrait for each of my wedding clients. Want to find out more? Click here!
when will we get to see our photos?
Wedding images take around 6-8 weeks to get all polished up.
how many images will we receive?
I try to present a complete story without lots of duplicates… which usually means 400-500 images.
do you have insurance?
Absolutely!
do you have backup gear?
Yes, indeed! Lots of it!
can i talk to references?
As many as you’d like!
tell me more about your photobooth
Glad you asked! I’ve got a one-of-a-kind photo booth that’s sure to be a huge hit with you and your guests! Click here for more info.
do you offer engagement portrait sessions?
Definitely – both tintype and film/digital portrait sessions.
how many weddings do you shoot?
Because I work closely with my couples to give them all the attention and creative energy they deserve, I limit my wedding bookings to 25 a year.
why do you make your own prints?
Because I have yet to find a lab that can offer anything approaching the beauty and timelessness of a handmade print on heavy matte papers.
do you take credit cards?
Certainly (though we small business-owners always prefer a check if it’s all the same to you).
how do you give us our files?
I deliver all high-resolution .jpg files (along with your print release and instructions) on a custom USB drive. You’ll also have access to a private online gallery that makes it easy to share your images with friends and family.
so how do we book you?
Once you make the decision to work with Riley MacLean Photography, all you need to do to reserve your date is submit a $1500 retainer and your signed agreement.
